The British Fashion Council supports the world’s leading British fashion designers. The British Council’s 2019 Fashion Awards celebrate creativity and innovation in fashion, honoring outstanding people whose ingenuity and creativity over the last 12 months have penetrated design internationally and brands and companies that have transformed the fashion market today.
This prestigious fashion award 2019 took place on Monday, December 2 at the iconic London venue – The Royal Albert Hall.
The Awards are moderated by 2,500 key members of the fashion industry who nominate and elect winners as support for the British Retail Council’s talent initiatives.
Hosted by the award-winning Golden-Globe actress Tracee Ellis Ross, this year’s awards introduces a new generation of fresh and new talents who were being honored.
The event was well attended by key industry and business leaders, creatives, designers, media retailers , as well as guests and celebrities such as the likes of Rihanna, Janet Jackson, Cate Blanchett, Naomi Campbel, Giorgio Armani, Julia Roberts, Emilia Clarke, Andrew Scott, Rita Ora, Lily James, Alexa Chung, Naomi Watts, Clara Paget, Emma Roberts, Stella Maxwell, Nicole Scherzinger, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Donatella Versace, Arizona Muse, David Gandy amongst others.
One of the most thrilling features of The Fashion Awards is the NEW WAVE: Creatives list, which recognises 100 of the industry’s movers and shakers, from hairstylists and makeup artists to set designers, creative directors and digital influencers. Trailblazers include photographer Campbell Addy, commentator Diet Prada, and filmmaker Fenn O’Meally.
